Bangkok Bank’s Executive Vice President, Technology Division, Ms. Suteera Sripaibulya (3rd from the right), Bangkok Bank’s Executive Vice President Ms. Ruchanee Nopmuang (far right), Director General of Provincial Administration Department Mr. Wongsak Sawatpanich (3rd from the left), and Director of The Bureau of Registration Administration Mr. Somdee Kachayangyuen (2nd from the right), have signed an MOU allowing Bangkok Bank branches to use the Identification Card Reader Programme in order to verify a customer’s personal information from The Bureau of Registration Administration. The new technology will help discourage ID card fraud and identity theft, as well as bolster confidence in Thailand’s financial system. Members of the Thai Bankers Association have set up a cooperative and established clear policies on ID information usage as part of their general security and privacy measures.
