Bosch opens up Thailand’s largest Bosch Diesel Center in Rayong

Bangkok--14 Sep--OASIS Media Bosch partners with ‘Rayong Diesel’ to open up Thailand’s largest Bosch Diesel Center in Rayong. The Center, with an initial investment of 60 Million Baht, is equipped with the state of the art technology to ensure the right solution for matters concerning diesel engine systems which includes the new high pressured diesel engine systems, e.g. common rail. The newly set up Bosch Diesel Center is located in Rayong to serve customers in the eastern region as well as its neighbouring provinces. Mr. Yingyuad Whangprayoat, General Manager of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Division, Robert Bosch Limited, reveals today that Bosch has further strengthening its automotive aftermarket position in 2009 by focusing on its Bosch Service Concept with the same international standard as outlined by Bosch Germany. Bosch foresees the increasing needs of professional independently owned and operated workshops in Thailand. The workshops need to improve their service standard in both service quality, and service tools in order to provide the right solution to the changing automobile technology. Bosch plays an important role in developing, designing and supplying automotive spare parts as well as the high technology diagnostic and testing equipments to serve the changing trend. In Thailand, diesel engine market is considered one of the key automobile markets, which has continuous technological developments. The diesel market is so required the international standard service centers. Bosch has decided to develop its service networks and recently has collaborated with ‘Rayong Diesel’ to open up a Bosch Diesel Center (BDC) in Rayong. The Center, which is located on Highway 36 (Kratinglai — Rayong), Muang District, is by far the largest Bosch Diesel Center in Thailand. “Bosch automotive aftermarket supplies a complete parts and byte products from automotive spare parts to diagnostic and testing equipments, software and technology, and car service concept for both gasoline and diesel engines. Bosch has a plan to develop and improve the operation of independent service centers in accordance with Bosch’s strict international standards so that they could catch up with the competition and current market conditions. This includes the corporate image of service centers, both interior and exterior, technical upgrading, business concept, as well as service personnel development so that they have service knowledge and capability in accordance with Bosch standards. Bosch will provide necessary trainings on product knowledge, technical information and management, as well as the use of Bosch advanced and modern testing equipments. On top of necessary trainings, Bosch will regularly audit the quality of its service centers so that customers are totally satisfied and confident that the quality of all Bosch service centers is consistent with Bosch international standards.” said Mr.Yingyuad. Mr. Annop Jaruwanawat, President of Rayong Diesel Co., Ltd., further discloses about Bosch Diesel Center that the Center will require an initial investment of 60 Million Baht. Its service range covers engine management diagnosis by Bosch KTS550 diagnostic device, exhaust gas measurement, engine inspection, maintenance and repair of diesel injection pump for both common rail and electronic pump systems by Bosch EPS815, which is Bosch advanced diesel testing equipment, maintenance and repair of turbo charger, as well as maintenance and repair of gasoline injection system, while it is expected that there will be initially about 200 customers per month. The target segments will include those using conventional diesel engine system or personal cars segment; business segment e.g. delivery trucks, fleet owners, and heavy machineries; government segment; overseas customers ; as well as other Original Equipment Manufacturers’ service centers (OES) in Rayong, its neighboring provinces in the Eastern region and other provinces nationwide. Moreover, the center will network with other Bosch Diesel Service (BDS) in 10 different provinces so that they could all service BDC Rayong Diesel’s customers when they run into troubles elsewhere. For example, if the customer has a problem in Chiagmai, BDC Rayong could promptly inform its network BDS in Chiangmai to fix the problem. Rayong Diesel will further developing its service network to cover nationwide for maximizing their customers confident in BDC Rayong. Mr. Annop further added that “the secret to our service lays on the fact that we would service our customers as if we service our own cars. We will thoroughly diagnose to determine the actual causes before any repairs are made and give correct to-the-point solutions to our customers. Our BDC has both experienced personnel and modern equipments in line with latest technologies, as currently there has been much progress in diesel engine system technology, i.e. from low pressured diesel pump to high pressured diesel pump and electronic injection diesel engine, e.g. common rail system, unit injector system, or diesel injection pump VP44, which provides high power, torque and durability suitable for heavy duty. However, to enhance the life time of diesel engine, the diesel engine users are recommended to take regular maintenance, e.g. timely replacement of lubrication and filters, choice and use of clean energy, timely replacement of diesel filters, proper warm-up and warm-down before and after uses. “Most importantly, if your car runs into troubles, you should only contact experienced mechanic or authorized service centers.” Mr.Annop concluded. Currently, the diesel service network of Bosch consists of four Bosch Diesel Centers; 3 in Bangkok and 1 in Rayong. Bosch plan for a gradual increase in its BDC as it requires a big investment and extensive training to ensure the quality.
