Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s Cargo Department launches a new service “Cold Storage Handling” in Perishable Center at THAI Cargo Terminal, Customs Free Zone, Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
Mr. Pruet Boobphakam, THAI’s Acting Managing Director, Cargo & Mail Commercial Department said that “Cold Storage Handling” service aims to ensure the quality of exported temperature sensitive perishable goods with a complete cool chain management. THAI Cargo confirms that the Cold Storage Handling service will serve its customers needs to keep the perishable goods cool and fresh steadily all the way from the origin to the destination. This service is implemented with a complete procedure from pre-cooling the container and shipment, ULD (unit load device) thermal lining, the temperature monitoring and report from the receiving dock prior to flight departure. THAI Cargo allows the customer to use the plastic crate and the thermal protection sheet for the shipment transferring from the packinghouse to THAI Cargo terminal in order to guarantee the completion of the cool chain.
This significant service ensures the quality and the freshness of the product, meanwhile increasing the shelf life and strengthening consumer’s confidence in its production and distribution process. In addition, THAI Cargo’s Cold Storage Handling Service will help reduce packaging waste by using the shelf ready packaging and recyclable cover. This latest service also shows THAI Cargo’s effort to raise greater awareness to the environment and remarks it always delivers the best.
