The evening of October 1, 2009 has been designated as Jazz Night by Bangkok’s 11th International Festival of Dance & Music so get ready to soak in the energy generated from the seven-member STARCH Jazz band from Switzerland and The Netherland’s Beets Brothers at the Thailand Cultural Centre from 7:30 p.m.
While STARCH has infused funk, rock, jazz and hip hop in creating their own music style, and played in over 200 shows throughout Europe and at the Montreux and St. Gallen Jazz Festivals, the Beets Brothers, a jazz quartet set up by three brothers — Marius, Alexander and Peter Beets and a drummer friend — are recognized for their high-octane mainstream jazz performances. Both bands will be accompanied by vocals.
Jazz fans should mark October 1st on their calendars to ensure they won’t miss grooving to the swinging rhythms of these bands!
