This past Saturday (26th September) the Royal Cliff Wine Club, Asia’s leading wine club, played host to a very special event in the Columbia Winery Gala Dinner which featured uniquely privileged selection of very exclusive wines from the esteemed Columbia Winery.
This grand gala dinner was sold out within hours of tickets going on sale and it was co-sponsored by Canpac Beverages Ltd, took place at the Grill Room & Wine Cellar of the multi award winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort, where a multi-course gourmet menu crafted by the culinary experts of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort was highlighted by a showcase of fabulous wines.
Mr. Ranjith Chandrasiri, the Wine Club President and Deputy General Manager of the Hotel Resort opened the evening and gave a speech to the exclusive Royal Cliff Wine Club members highlighting a detailed overview of evening’s proceedings.
The Royal Cliff Wine Club was proudly launched on the 28th of April, 2001 and with well-trained and efficient staff is just one of the many reasons of the resort’s enthusiasm in promoting wines and hosting wine-related events.
The Royal Cliff Beach Resort has once again broken its own world record by being bestowed five “Best of Awards of Excellence 2009” awards for the second successive year from New York's Wine Spectator magazine — and making it the first hotel resort anywhere in the world to do so! This astounding achievement already been acknowledged by many wine enthusiasts, winemakers and wine writers around the world.
