Following the success of the inaugural BIG Festival 2008 event in 2008, Gsquare Channel, Thailand’s first game & technology channel, in collaboration with Future Gamer and several business partners have once again co-organized the 2nd Bangkok International Game Festival 2009 (BIG Festival 2009) which is to take place from October 15-18, 2009 at the Royal Paragon Hall of the Siam Paragon shopping center.
Held under the theme of “No Boundaries for Gamers”, BIG Festival 2009 will offer exciting opportunities for all the participants, as well as visitors to experience the latest developments in the gaming industry.
BIG Festival 2009 is the ideal place offering business networking opportunities for game developers, game providers and game distributors where they can exchange new techniques or ideas. Moreover, Thai youths who visit BIG Festival 2009 will be able to learn about new gaming technologies for their future development. There will be games from some 8 countries participating in the E-sport Thailand Championships 2009. The ever-popular DotA game is also one of the highlights of the championship, and winners will be able to compete for prizes worth Baht 200,000. In addition, visitors to BIG Festival 2009 can enjoy the D’Cos Festival for the best Cosplay competition where contestants dress up as game and cartoon characters.
There is also the Miss BIG Fest 2009 pageant where visitors can cheer their favorite contestants and mini concerts by True AF artists to enjoy.
BIG Fest 2009 will also feature the GSquare GJ Search, Thailand Game Awards 2009 and SIPA Game Award 2009 as well as seminars by Thai and world-renowned gaming experts through out the 4-day event.
