The second edition of the IT Inspiration Awards launched by Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, continues to pick up momentum from countries across the Asia Pacific region. This year’s edition has thus far attracted over 2,600 votes from IT users across the region.
Launched in August 2009, the awards programme has garnered widespread interest from the enterprise organizations and the IT community alike. There is a spike in the number of nominations received for the award categories that are attracting votes from all participating countries.
This year’s winners will be announced on November 12, 2009 at the IT Inspiration Awards Prize Presentation Ceremony at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia held in conjunction with the Hitachi Data Systems APAC CIO Summit themed ‘Inspire and Innovate — Get Set to Win in the Economic Upturn.’
In Thailand, the nomination has been received that features orgniasation is Bank of Ayudhaya Public Co., Ltd. . Each nominations from each countries will highlight a unique showcase of storage deployment that has helped the organization to sustain and grow its business.

About Hitachi Data Systems Asia Pacific IT Inspiration Awards 2009
The inaugural award ceremony was initiated in August 2008 to recognize, honor and celebrate enterprises who have achieved outstanding success with Hitachi Data Systems solutions. Entries meeting the eligibility criteria will be judged by a panel of qualified judges from Hitachi Data Systems, IDC and Gartner. Public voting for the nominees started on August 17, and closes on October 16. 2009. The winners will be selected through a mix of public voting and a judging panel comprising of qualified judges from Hitachi Data Systems, IDC and Gartner. Voters can cast their vote for each of the categories online at the specially-created website to support the awards. Voters stand a chance to win exciting prizes of LCD television sets.
The launch of the online voting is in conjunction with the launch of the first Hitachi Data Systems Asia Pacific blog. Hosted by key solution champions from the Asia Pacific Solutions and Products Group of Hitachi Data Systems, the blog is an interactive platform to discuss key technologies, market insights and trends pertaining to the storage industry. It will offer an in-depth perspective on Hitachi Data Systems initiatives that are rolled out globally and in the Asia Pacific region and promote the creation of a vibrant storage community.
