Bangkok--4 Nov--Huawei
Huawei today announced its readiness to provide state-of-the-art telecom equipment and solutions to subscribers in Europe through tests of its LTE network solutions in conjunction with world-leading operators.
Huawei and Samsung recently announced that they would jointly conduct the world’s first LTE Interoperability Test (IOT) to verify the interpretability of LTE network infrastructures and device terminals. The test, to be held this month, will bridge the most cutting-edge telecom technology with people’s demands of enjoying rich and compelling services. The IOT will use LTE modems manufactured by Samsung on Huawei’s LTE trial network in Europe.
Meanwhile, in Innsbruck, Austria, Huawei has successfully completed the world’s first test for LTE self-organizing network (SON) with T-Mobile. The test showed a highly-successful handover rate and clearly demonstrated that the SON solution is able to automatically establish and optimize neighbor relations, and satisfies the requirements of future LTE commercial networks. Through the solution’s ability, the LTE SON will offer operators operational cost savings associated with network planning, network deployment and network optimization. Huawei’s SON commercial solution was released in the second quarter of 2009, and is currently offered as part of Huawei’s suite of LTE solutions.
Huawei has made over 3000 LTE/SAE contributions to standardization bodies, and has finished over 20 field tests and trials with leading operators such as Vodafone, Telenor and China Mobile.
