Hyundai Motor (Thailand) to highlight H-1 Series premium MPV at Motor Expo 2009 with fascinating concept Sexy SUV “ix-onic” to please all Hyundai fans
Hyundai remains strong with the current line up of the popular premium MPVs — the new Hyundai H-1 Series, as they lead the showcase at the 26th Thailand International Motor Expo with the New Hyundai H-1 Maesto Deluxe, full-size luxury MPV for executives and families, and the New Hyundai H-1 Maesto SS in full sporty decorations.
The showcase also includes Hyundai Sonata 2.4 EXE and Sexy concept SUV ix-onic, whose exterior and interior designs also appear in the production version of the latest Hyundai ix35 or Tucson, which has recently been launched in Korea and may hit the worldwide markets including Thailand in 2010.
Hyundai Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the sole distributor and importer of Hyundai vehicles in Thailand, is among the leading active participants at Thailand International Motor Expo 2009, held during December 2 — 13 this year at Challenger Halls.
Leading the Hyundai booth is the showcase of luxury MPV the New Hyundai H-1 Maesto Deluxe, the New Hyundai H-1 Maesto Executive, Hyundai H-1 Touring, Hyundai Sonata 2.4 EXE, Hyundai H-100 big-size truck and the New Hyundai H-1 Maesto SS, a limited edition version of the famous H-1 Series launched in celebration of Hyundai Motor (Thailand) 2nd anniversary.
The New Hyundai H-1 Maesto Series is the winner of Car of the Year award in 2008 and 2009 fo0r its performance and functionality that exceed the price tag. The unit comes with 2.5-liter turbo diesel commonrail engine designed and developed for excellent performance and fuel economy. The engine, delivering 175 horsepower, is mated with advanced 5-speed automatic transmission that comes with Sport Shift Mode to provide even better acceleration performances.
With prices ranging from 1,050,000 baht to 1,647,000 baht, the New Hyundai H-1 Series offer a special campaign that includes up 1.88% interest rate to 48 months of installment by Kasikorn Leasing and free Samsung Omnia II smart phone worth 23,900 baht. The offer lasts until January 16, 2010.
Another highlight at the show is the concept SUV called Hyundai ix-onic, which is used as design guide for the latest SEXY SUV Hyundai ix35, or also known as Tucson. Under the code name of HED-6, Hyundai ix-onic concept SUV unveiled for the first time at the 79th Geneva Motor Show. The car, which comes with a turbo-charged 1.6-liter GDI engine delivering up to 170 horsepower, is mated with advanced 6-speed Dual Clutch transmission for exhilarating acceleration. Special features also include ISG (Idle Stop & Go) for fuel saving during idle. The CO2 emission is as low as 149 grams per kilometer.
The ix-onic is the concept car for the production version of the Hyundai ix35 or Tucson, which was launched on September 9 and is dubbed as SEXY SUV for its futuristic and curvy exterior design. Hyundai plans to launch the ix35 in markets around the world in 2010, including markets with great potential like Thailand.
Representing passenger car and commercial truck at Hyundai booth are Hyundai Sonata 2.4 EXE and Hyundai H-100. The fo9rmer comes with warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km, while the latter is ideal 4-wheeler truck for city and provincial use with large flatbed space no regular pick-up truck can compare. Offering no worry about traveling limit in Bangkok, the H-100 also comes with up to 72 months of installment, 2.55% interest rate and attractive price tag of 599,000 baht
