dtac brings the BlackBerry? solution to the mainstream market with the introduction of two BlackBerry? smartphones — the BlackBerry? Curve? 8520 and BlackBerry? Bold? 9000 smartphone. The BlackBerry? Curve? 8520 smartphone, which is available in black and a special white edition, comes with new promotional service plans with attractive prices that are easy to access for existing and new customers.
Tore Johnsen, Chief Executive Officer of Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (dtac) said, “The launch of the BlackBerry solution is the latest development from dtac in collaboration with its partners RIM and Vodafone to offer exceptional products and services and new mobile experiences to our customers.
“Statistics shows that there are more than 60 million mobile phone users in Thailand*. Approximately 10% are smartphones and this represents a high potential for the growth of smartphones including BlackBerry products. There is also a consistent increase in data usage especially for mobile Internet access among our customers. In response to the increasing demand for smartphones and data services, we introduce the BlackBerry solution, which will cater to our customers' mobile lifestyles. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone and BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone, both in black, will be available on December 7. Customers can place orders for the white** BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone from December 2 to 20, 2009 with availability expected from December 21.
Customers can buy or order their favorite BlackBerry smartphones at over 130 dtac retailers nationwide (dtac’s customer service centers, dtac centers , TGFone, JAY MART and i-mobile shops). Customers who are interested in the BlackBerry service plans offered by dtac can also choose postpaid BlackBerry SIM cards with special numbers at the outlets.
