Siam Canadian Foods and Penner-Madison & Company Limited join with a group of generous donors to hand over a newly built schoolhouse in rural Ratchaburi Progressing to develop and support education for rural Thai children in remote locations.
Ratchaburi, 12 December 2009 --The charitable vision of Siam Canadian Foods Co., Ltd. and Penner-Madison & Company Limited has been to develop and support education for disadvantaged Thai children in remote place. Both companies had completed many educational support projects including the construction of a Computer Schoolhouse for HMJ Prestige at Baan Kae Sa Yai, Surin province, the Ruth Penner Schoolhouse at Chantraram Temple School, Si Sa Ket province, the Harry Gulkin Schoolhouse at Baan Huaypomfahd School, Huaypooling subdistrict, Muang district, Mae Hongson province and most recently, the Choi Krataichin Schoolhouse at Baan Nongkhanak School, Chombung subdistrict, Chombung district, Ratchaburi province. This school teaches children from kindergarten to sixth grade level and it now has a total of 69 students.

The More educational opportunities Thai juveniles get, the more their self esteem and confidence and hence country development will be. “Every year we select a small primary school in a remote rural location where there’s no permanent schoolhouse and that doesn’t get adequate financial support to build a new schoolhouse. Our team always conducts an on site survey for each location, designs school buildings, and collects financial donations from supporting organizations. With primary contributions from Siam Canadian Foods Co., Ltd., we will continue permanent schoolhouse construction projects in remote places as we want to perform the power of collaboration which can make Thai society better and to support Thai children in remote places to have a full chance to be educated”
