TAPB sets up alcohol testing booths to support ‘Drink Don’t Drive’ campaign during New Year

Bangkok--29 Dec--Bangkok Public Relations Thai Asia Pacific Brewery (TAPB), the brewer of Heineken, is supporting the ‘Drink Don’t Drive’ campaign by arranging alcohol testing booths for people celebrating the New Year festivities at popular entertainment areas such as RCA, Thonglor and Sukhumvit. For those whose test results exceed the standard, TAPB will serve refreshments at the rest area and advise them to call the ‘Drink Don’t Drive 1555’ hotline for a taxi service to take them home safely. The alcohol testing booths will be in service until 31 January 2010. The ‘Drink Don’t Drive 1555’ campaign, aimed at mitigating and reducing the number of traffic accidents, is supported by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Metropolitan Police Bureau, taxi cooperatives, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, and Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd.
