Philips launched SimplyHealthy@schools project

Bangkok--5 Jan--Philips Electronics Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., kicked off its “Philips SimplyHealthy@schools” project, a global initiative around educating school children how to stay healthy and relamping class rooms to energy efficient lighting. The first school in Thailand was Wat Mai Chong Lom School located near the Philips Thailand head office in New Phetchburi Road. It involved 100 school children aged between 8-12 years old with employees voluntarily teaching them effect of light, air, water, oral healthcare, exercise and environmental conservation so that they knew on how they can create a healthy life, a healthy community and a healthy planet. Moreover, Philips, as the world’s leading in energy efficient lighting solution provide, upgraded the school lighting system to be Philips new fluorescent T5, saving upto 35 % of energy and Philips Super Lifemax TLD80, giving 25% more light and environmental friendly, aiming not only to improve the learning climate but also save energy. As part of the company’s energy saving campaign, Philips opened up opportunity for school children to exchange an incandescent lamp with Philips energy saving lamp to save energy upto 80% at home.
