Bangkok--5 Jan--Verve As festive seasons are approaching, whether Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day and many others; Parties would be dull and unexciting without the hip and traditional holiday cocktail recipes. Furthermore, the available cocktails in the market may seem to be too common and boring. Therefore, party lovers get creative and search for new cocktail recipes that are easy and quick to prepare for their parties. As a result, Smirnoff has invited professional bartender from “Flow Cocktail” and two of Thailand’s hottest celebrities to showcase easy but chic cocktail recipes that you can whip up for your party in style. Cocktails that are flavorsome and tasteful like having a professional bartender serve it in your own home. Mr. Kamalas Pattanapaisarn, Marketing Manager, International Spirits & RTD at Diageo Moet Hennessy (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said “Cocktails have become more and more popular in Thailand, especially among new generation who loves to spend time relaxing in the company of friends at home. Cocktails offer exciting new taste compared to traditional drinking. In addition, cocktails are easy to prepare without complexity; though it does not look like it. Moreover the ingredients are readily available. There are 3 types of cocktails: Pour it; Mix it and Shake it.” Smirnoff has recently invited Mr. Ben — David Sorum — a professional bartender /cofounder of “Flow Cocktail” together with two of Thailand’s famous celebrities — Way Titanium and Kris Horwang, to jointly create fresh, flavorful and high-quality cocktails under the concept “Simply cocktails”; created from few ingredients and are quick to prepare. Perfect for the upcoming festive season. Mr. Ben — David Sorum — a co-founder / professional bartender from “Flow Cocktail” said “Most of the cocktail ingredients are not difficult to find, such as Vodka, Fruit juice, Soda, Sugar, Syrup, Lime, Ginger ale and Tonic water. The most important thing to keep in mind, is balancing the combination of sour, sweet and bitter flavors. The different degrees of each flavor, combined together, will give different kinds of cocktail. Vodka does not have flavor, color or aroma. Thus, it is a perfect base for a cocktail, it allows for the creation of wholly unique cocktail flavor. Today, I want to introduce revitalizing cocktail recipes, starting with Caipiroska — well balanced between its lemon flavor and subtle sweetness. Begin by cutting lemon into pieces and place them in the cocktail shaker. Add 2 teaspoons of sugar, mix well and crush lemons until enough juice is obtained. Pour in Smirnoff No. 21 and add some ice cubes then shake well. It’s now ready to be served. Second cocktail recipe is Smirnoff Mule — a world’s famous signature drink made with Smirnoff No. 21, Ginger ale and fresh squeezed limejuice (about 1-2 wedges) served in a copper cup. Serve in Smirnoff Mule signature mug, filled with ice and garnished with mint leaves. While, Ms. Kris Hor-wang, a famous celebrity further added “My friends and I love to create our own cocktails. Most of which are made from fruit juice, sometimes we create our own cocktail recipes. My favorite cocktail is Apple Martini with very simple steps to do so and suitable for those who are into a fruity flavor. Begin by chilling martini glass. Then pour ice and Smirnoff Twist Green Apple into the cocktail shaker, add a little bit of fresh limejuice, followed by apple juice and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well and strain the cocktail into the martini glass. Garnish it with a sliced of green apple. The good point about mixing your own cocktails for the party is that we can choose your own favorite flavors and we are able to modify the recipe to suit our own taste to enjoy it with friends and that special someone.” Way Titanium added “I often mix my own cocktails for the parties. I enjoy it and have fun with creating new cocktail recipes for home parties. Today, I want to introduce Smirnoff Black Dry Martini — the aroma of dry vermouth in Smirnoff black is a taste of martini that all men admire and give it “a thumb up”. Begin by placing ice cubes cocktail shaker; add dry vermouth into the shaker and stir for 15 seconds before pouring liquid it out. Then pour in Smirnoff Black No. 21 and stir for 30 seconds, Strain liquid into the chilled martini glass and garnish with lemon twist.” A fun and lively party does not depend only on the set theme or the taste of the delicacies served but in fresh and revitalizing cocktails creatively made for the party, creating a long lasting impression for all guests. 1) “Apple Martini Cocktail” Recipe: 60ml Smirnoff Twist Green Apple/ 60ml Apple juice/ 1 Lime Wedge /1 Green apple wedge Preparation: 1.
