Recently Tara Tiradnakorn (2nd left), President of Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. and Wuttichai Singmanee, (2nd right), Director-General of Department of Civil Aviation, signed a contract for land-lease and facility construction in Nakhon Si Thammarat commercial airport. Honorable guests witnessing the ceremony were Chaisak Angkasuwan (right), Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport, and Dr. Kurujit Nakornthap (left), Director-General of the Department of Mineral Fuels.
The contract and MOU marks a significant step on the aviation consolidation of Chevron and its partners which are PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, Hess (Thailand) Ltd., Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. and Palang Sophon Limited, in consolidating two current aviation operations in Songkhla and Chonburi into a single, centrally located, heliport facility by the latter half of this year. This aviation base will support Chevron’s mission in providing Thailand a secured energy source.
