Fitch Ratings-London-05 February 2010: Fitch Ratings will host a seminar on the credit outlook for US, Asian and Latin American banks and the region's banking system in London on Thursday, February 11.
Senior Fitch financial institutions analysts will give presentations providing key insights into the sectors and outlooks for the coming year. Fitch Managing Directors Chris Wolfe and Tom Abruzzo, who are both New York-based, will discuss US banks, including the role of support, key challenges for 2010 such as commercial real estate, consumer credit, and the viability of securitization. They will also discuss capital and Fitch's rating views on hybrid capital.
Managing Director Peter Shaw will discuss Emerging Market banks, including an in-depth look at the Brazilian and Mexican banking systems, and Peter Tebbutt, Senior Director will present the outlook for Asia-Pacific banking.
