With immediate effect, HSBC Thailand has appointed Mr. Kanoksak Mokkamakkul as Head of Commercial Banking.
Mr. Kanoksak will drive business growth in Commercial Banking, focusing on medium and large-sized companies. As the leading international bank, HSBC is well placed to support Thai companies wanting to expand overseas, foreign companies making investments into Thailand, as well as other companies conducting business with international counterparties. Customers can benefit from HSBC’s strong international presence and expertise in a comprehensive range of financial products and services.
Mr. Kanoksak joined HSBC in 1999 and spent a few years managing key customer relationships, before being promoted to lead the credit policy and approval team. He was later seconded to the Hong Kong office for four years to take up a regional credit approval role and then to manage the flagship Basel 2 project for HSBC Asia Pacific. Returning to Thailand in 2008, Mr. Kanoksak was appointed to head the Middle Market business, before taking up his latest position.
Mr. Kanoksak graduated with an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. He is a CFA charter-holder, and received Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering (Chulalongkorn University) and Laws (Sukhothai Thammathirat University).
