The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Bangkok Bank PCL (BBL) will jointly hold a project “Wealth Management @ BBL”. This project will enhance the bank’s ability to more effectively help clients meet their financial goals.
“It is a pleasure to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to work with Bangkok Bank PCL, one of Thailand’s leading banks, to enhance the knowledge of branch managers. Since there are an increasing number of financial tools launched these days, bank personnel should understand and be able to introduce such innovations to their customers. By helping customers understand how to manage their personal finance more effectively, it will also help expand bank’s business opportunity, which will eventually benefit the country’s economic development,” said SET President Patareeya Benjapolchai.
“Providing knowledge to the personnel of commercial banks is part of the knowledge distribution project ‘Wealth Manager @ Bank’ and ‘Wealth Customer @ Bank,’ which focus on educating the general public about personal finance through commercial banks. The project is a part of our strategies to build strong capital market foundation by expanding investors through institutional investors,” said Ms. Patareeya.
“Executives who complete the program will have the understanding to introduce financial alternatives and investments to customers, including integrated financial plans suitable for various stages of the customer’s life, matching different bank products to meet a given customer’s financial goals. This will build each client’s long-term wealth and help achieve his/her financial goals, In addition, the program helps increase the bank’s value-added services to customers and helps expand investment to the new target group,” said Bangkok Bank PCL Managing Director Singh Tangtatswas.
