Back by popular demand, outstanding jazz vocalist, Richard Jackson returns to The Living Room of the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection hotel, from March 9 — 21, 2010.
The son of an accomplished gospel quartet singer, Richard Jackson was born and raised in Cincinnati, USA. Inspired by his father, Richard originally trained in classical music before developing his love of jazz. He studied music in college at Central State University under the direction of William Henry Coldwell. While attending at university it became apparent that Richard was no ordinary talent. After completing his studies he began singing around the Cincinnati area, quickly establishing a name for himself. He has been compared to the legends Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Barry White and Ronald Isley. Richard has also worked in the company of Chris Jasper Isley, Midnight Star, and has performed as the opening act for Bob James, Peabo Bryson, The Stylistics, De La Soul, George Clinton and Will Downing. Today, Richard is a respected vocalist, writer and arranger in his own right.
The Living Room is a stylish and intimate jazz lounge; the perfect venue to experience the extraordinary talents of Richard Jackson.
