SCB joins with Sansiri to offer innovative loan campaign

Bangkok--17 Feb--Siam Commercial Bank To provide Sansiri PCL customers with even more exclusive privileges, Siam Commercial Bank has teamed up with the leading property developer to launch an innovative financial service campaign called “SCB Unlimited Disbursements.” During the campaign, Sansiri customers with existing credit facilities will be eligible to receive additional multi-purpose loans up to the amount of the loan they have already repaid, with no limit on the number of disbursements throughout the loan term. For example, if a customer has a credit facility of 10,000,000 baht and has paid back 3,000,000 baht they will be eligible for an additional loan of up to 3,000,000 baht. The offer is limited to 5,000,000 baht. In commenting on the campaign, SCB President Kannikar Chalitaporn said that, “the Bank and Sansiri have jointly developed a variety of innovative financial products catering to the lifestyle requirements of Sansiri customers to ensure that they receive convenient financial services. This new loan campaign provides further evidence of the creative effort made by both organizations to select financial service channels featuring special privileges that will enhance our clients' liquidity. It is part of the Bank's policy of looking after housing loan clients throughout their lifespans.” Under the campaign, clients are entitled to receive the following three attractive privileges: - Additional multi-purpose loan amounts of up to 5 million baht for existing credit facilities, with no limit on the number of disbursements throughout the loan term. - An “SCB Debit Plus” card providing medical coverage for accidents up to 5,000 baht per accident, with no limit on the number of medical fee claims and no entry fee. - Between 50,000 to 140,000 cumulative reward points for WOW laundry, housing cleaning, and gardening services, or WOW Living Rewards redeemable for electrical appliances such as LCDs, TVs, vacuum cleaners, and microwave ovens with extremely low points when clients book new houses and use loan services with the Bank. The campaign is available from now until March 26, 2010. The Bank has regularly teamed up with Sansiri to organize customer relations activities catering to every customer lifestyle, and Khun Kaninikar noted that the previous launch of the SCB Sansiri Platinum Card proved very popular with Sansiri's clients. The Bank currently has an SCB Sansiri Platinum Card client base of 15,000, and believes this campaign will meet the demands and lifestyle requirements of even more customers. The Bank also expects the campaign will help stimulate the growth of its housing loan portfolio. This year SCB targets providing 55-60 billion baht in housing loans to retain its leadership in the housing loan market with a market share of more than 30%, and plans to keep outstanding loans at 250 billion baht as at the end of the year. Sansiri Managing Director Settha Thavisin said: “We appreciate SCB's assistance in helping us satisfy our customers' needs. We are offering a variety of privileges through this campaign to support our giant 'Instant Living with Sansiri' promotion program this year, under which 160 single houses, town houses, and condominiums from more than 20 projects will be offered for sale before government-supported tax incentives end in March.” Mr. Settha said he was confident the campaign would make it easier for customers to satisfy their desire to live in their own home.
