Famous Italian restaurant “Basilico Pizzeria”, which has firmly established at Sukhumvit 33 and Sukhumvit 20, is spending over THB15 million to set up a new branch at Paholyothin 7 (Soi Aree). The new branch will allow diners at the other end of Bangkok to enjoy the extraordinary taste of Italian Pizza in various styles and toppings as well as over a hundred of other finest authentic Italian cuisines.
Miss Sanicha Laowiwatwong , Basilico Pizzeria’s general manager , said the new branch is located at the ground floor of Yosawadee building in the middle of soi aree, which is close to office buildings, residential area, and can be accessed easily via major roads as well as BTS skytrain. Due to overwhelming responses from Italian food lovers to the restaurant’s two existing branches on Sukhumvit road and calls for opening up of new branches, we finally come up with the decision to expand to the new site.

Basilico’s partner Chef Gianmichele Olivares, an expert in Italian and European food who have been with Le Cordon Bleu institution in London, said “Our signature dish that gain outstanding popularity among our customers is Basilico Pizza, a thin crispy pizza with original northern italy’s recipe that has been modified in Basilico’s own style to lay sliced parma ham on top of secret recipe’s tomato paste with mascarpone, mozzarella, and rocket. Another popular menu is Erotica Pizza, with the harmonious taste of tomato paste, mozzarella, onion, capsicums, Italian sausages, salami, and black olives that provide a unique blended taste of sourness from the paste, creamy from mozzarella, as well as spicy and salty from capsicums, Italian sausages, and spicy salami."
