Bangkok--19 Feb--Le Meridien BRINGING SMILES TO CHILDREN, IN NEED Le Meridien Angkor rallies funds to support Kantha Bopha Foundation's Jayavarman VII Children's Hospital. The Hotel's adopted charity since 2006, the Kantha Bopha Foundation relies almost 100% on donations to fund its medical services and provides free health care for Cambodian children and literally saves the lives of tens of thousands of children every year suffering from tuberculosis and other curable diseases. Annually the Foundation run by Dr Beat Richner serves 100,000 vaccinations and 600,000 visits by sick children. Guests buy cute teddy bear soft toys offering their best wishes handwritten onto notes to the children. The hotel contributes profit from sales to hospital and the bears are given the children. “It’s that simple” said Gregory Anderson, General Manager”. “Every dollar counts” he said “and over the past four years of this fundraising, it has been warming to see so many people from around the world so willing to help”. Asked if he’ll continue? Absolutely replied an enthusiastic Anderson. For more information, please visit www.starwoodhotels.com.
