"British town and country under British rain and sun." is the concept for menswear by Christopher Bailey, Burberry Creative Director. Trench, slate brown, taupe, lead grey, chalk grey, grey m?lange, charcoal, black, white, indigo, bottle green, hessian, chalk pastel hyacinth, chalk pastel pink, chalk pastel powder blue, uniform red, ultramarine, sou’wester yellow and optic white take the centre of this season. The lighter theme continues with lightweight fabrics such as shower-proof waxed heritage cotton, waxed linen, sail cloth cotton, featherweight quilted nylon, tissue weight nylon, gossamer cotton, tissue weight cotton, wool cotton tailoring, shadow stripe tailoring, canvas tailoring, bonded leather, paper leather, dab print knit, vintage cable knit, layered fine cashmere, spray dye cashmere, ribbon stripe shirting, seersucker shirting, cotton piqu? shirting, lightweight spray dye cotton jersey. Inspired by ‘Twisted Classic’, the silhouettes highlights all over reef knot trench coats, knotted epaulette shoulders, loop knot dresses, braided bodice dresses, reef knot skirts to the loop knot shirts. Trench, honey, nude, peppermint, pampas green, frosted pink, willow, pale butter, blue opal, lavender blue, crocus add pops of uplifting colours for this summer. As the weather heats up, lightweight fabrics are used such as washed gabardine, washed chiffon, parachute silk, duchess silk satin, double faced duchess silk, layered tulle, silk gauze, fine cashmere knit, butter leather, feathered leather, glove suede, leather ribbon embellishment. Collection celebrates classic Burberry icons including innovations of the Burberry trademark check and trench coat. Style are directly inspired by Burberry ready-to-wear and accessories collections for men and women miniature versions of key pieces from the Burberry Prorsum collection previewed on the Summer catwalk. Fabrics are gabardine, denim, jersey, cotton, tulle and silk and colours are in variety range including pale trench, white, cool grey, grey m?lange, willow, pine green, popcorn yellow, bright orange, pink, fuchsia, silver blue, dark turquoise, petrol blue, navy and black.
