Mr. Nutthapong Phanthakiatpaisarn, Managing Director of V Technology System Co., Ltd., Revealed that the company had initiated “Animation Class Room: Classroom for the Future of Thailand” in order to build special classroom called “Animation Class Room”. This is the classroom that can make students become software developers not just software users. The students will be able to develop animation works, create games, or edit films or advertising films by themselves. Teachers and trainers from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Thammasat University will teach students a variety of programs as described in the curriculum.
“Animation Class Room” Project gains support from various private sectors namely DCOM GROUP, Hewlett Packard (Thailand) Co. Mr. Nutthapong added that, as for responsibility of each partner, V-TECH is in charge of distributing and selling of “Animation class room” via agents and distributors all over the country with kind support of Thaicredit Retail Bank PCL in providing credit for education institutes that want to buy “Animation class room”. Thammasat University will host training program for teachers so that they can teach students in their institutes as well as to grant certificate for participants who successfully completed and passed the training program. The “Animation Class Room” will be opened freely nationwide. Any schools would like to buy or any shops would like to become dealers, they can directly contact V-TECH’s Call Center. Most importantly, we would like to produce “Output” of the project. We will monitor and follow up of project results and development of animation works such as various kinds of 3D, cartoons, games, and advertising or short films that can be produced from Animation Classroom through the contest on www.ma-show.com. This will encourage students to pay attention and continually develop their innovations. www.ma-show.com will be communication channel that always provides professional advices. It is similar to labor market for several companies to come in and select students’ performances for further recruitment.
The Animation Class Room will comprise DMA computers manufactured by DCOM Group Ltd. Based on superior technology from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the set-up includes 3 sets of products, namely (1) E-Studio comprising Blue Screen, VDO Recorder, DMA PC, LCD TV, and Laser Printer; (2) E-Student Set comprising DMA PC, student desk and chair, which will be about 10-30 computers; and (3) E-Server Set granted by Hewlett Packard (Thailand) Co., Ltd., as a gateway connecting to Internet and Storage in order to gather useful information and data for students.
