Help Save the Women You Love…. the equestrian range at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club was recently filled with good hearted people for the ‘Pink Polo’, women adventure polo racing. The Match against breast cancer project was the ladies polo match in Thailand initiated by Ms.Nunthinee Tanner, managing director of LBG Limited to help women with breast cancer. Seeing all the blooming of vibrant pink everywhere including the decoration, dress code, anything pink even food as it was an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. The match was to raise funds for advancing access to breast cancer care and cure to support the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer and the event was presided over by M.L.Piyapas Bhirombhakdi.
The Pink Polo was the second women polo match in Thailand Polo calendar. It was a feast for the senses. Some famous faces and many good hearted people entered to access the exhilarating sport including H.E.Antonio de Faria e Maya, Ambassador of Portugal to Thailand and his wife Madame Maria da Piedade de Faria e Maya; Khunying Dhipavadee Meksawan, M.L.Laksasubha Kridakon, Pavena Hongsakula, Permpoon and Jutatip Krairiksh, Pornthep and Mimi Phornprapha, Vipada Donavanik, Chitramonth Techaphaiboon, Holly Amranand, Jantanee Singsuwan, Srisuphang Morris, Kanchari Buranasomphob, and many more.
Highlight of the activity was the sight of fashion show on horseback. It was a new manner of showing this beautiful fashion with horses. Especially women looked great when it came to riding horse. The show went be slowly and gracefully to present the stylist La Martina brand a whole way of living, a culture and a lifestyle for the sport of polo. Marvelous products by La Martina include clothing, helmets, boots, kneepads, saddles, strap goods and accessories. The fashion show led by honorable models —wife of Portugal Ambassador to Thailand Maria da Piedade de Faria e Maya and top-class fashion models such as Sonia Vacharasinthu, Nusba Punnakanta, Mawin Taweephol, Partith Pisitkul, Kan Kantathavorn, Rangsit Sirananont and more.
Then, the exciting opening match between South East Asia Team and Australia Team began. The thrilling tournament was filled with joy amidst this paradise landscape. The match was four chukkas long. Finally, the South East Asia Team kicked into action piling on goals in the final chukka to give a 5?- 4 victory. The South East Asia Team took the winning title for this match and lifted Her Majesty the Queen’s trophy.
