The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) is once again sponsoring the 2010 PATA Gold Awards. These well-established awards are for industry stakeholders that have made outstanding contributions to the development and promotion of travel and tourism across the Asia Pacific region in a responsible and sustainable manner.
The awards, open to all-comers and not restricted to PATA members, recognise exceptional achievement in six broad categories: Marketing Campaign, Environment, Heritage and Culture, Education and Training, Marketing Media and Travel Journalism. Deadline for entries is 30 April 2010. Judging is independent and impartial in all cases.
The Association will present up to 25 Gold Awards and four Grand Awards at a special luncheon in Macau SAR on 17 September as part of the PATA Travel Mart programme. Highlights of winning entries will be on display at the Mart. All award recipients are featured in the Winners' Showcase souvenir brochure.
Sponsored by the MGTO for the past 15 years the PATA Gold Awards set industry standards for excellence and innovation. MGTO Director, Jo?o Manuel Costa Antunes, said, “Being the sponsor for the PATA Gold Awards this year has special significance for us as Macau will be the host for the PATA Travel Mart this September.
