กรุงเทพฯ--8 มี.ค.--Samitivej Samitivej, a leading private hospital in Thailand and Southeast Asia, introduced “Team Sakura”, its new customer service initiative aimed at improving Japanese customer satisfaction. The “Team Sakura” comprises of medical and operation staff members who have passed intensive training on Japanese culture and language in order to better help Japanese patients. Mr. Raymond Chong, CEO of Samitivej Public Company Limited, said, “Medical excellence, service quality and advanced technology are not all we focus on. People are also our top priority because in taking good care of patients, we need to have a good team of caring and highly skilled team of professionals. People are therefore our most important resource and they have significantly contributed to our success throughout the past 30 years. “Samitivej Ambassador is a program that has been implemented and continued for years to ensure that our people are highly skilled and are capable of providing quality services that comply with international standards. Having good human resource also contributes significantly to our competitive advantage. While our customers and patients also have higher expectation from us, we find it necessary to get rid of major language and cultural barriers. Then we will be able to understand and address our customers’ and patients’ demand and their expectation as well as achieve the hospital management and operational efficiency,” said Mr. Chong. Dr. Somsiri Sakolsatayadorn, Samitivej’s Deputy CEO, commented, “We are now making Samitivej the “Japanese Friendly Hospital”. Patient care is the most important task for any hospital. It doesn’t mean only care for their physical health but also their feelings. We want everyone to come in here at Samitivej, stay and leave happily. We know that for foreigners confidence and peace of mind are very important. And, that’s how the “Team Sakura” was initiated. “Team Sakura” will help make all medical and other services more efficient and reliable for Japanese customers, who are among the top customer groups at Samitivej. They make all contacts with all departments and services across the hospital easier, friendly, and more efficient. At the same time, our local operational staff and medical team will be able to work faster and more efficient while increasing trust and confidence among the patients and their relatives,” said Dr. Sakolsatayadorn. In forming the “Team Sakura”, Samitivej recruited nurses who have experience serving Japanese patients and knowledge on Japanese language to join the team. The ten members of “Team Sakura” will have work experience training at Sapporo Medical University Hospital, Japan. In welcoming “Team Sakura”, the Japanese Ambassador Kyochi Komachi honored the team by presenting the “Team Sakura” pins to the ten members before they fly off to Japan. Samitivej has kept human resource development as its top priority. It always offers opportunities for its staff members to enhance and broaden their knowledge and skills, including training and work experience trips overseas to Malaysia, Australia and Japan. Employees who have earlier attended these trainings usually apply what they learn into their routine works, and apply the knowledge to match different culture of the patients.
