Bangkok--10 Mar--Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit
In response to the devastating Haiti earthquake Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit recently hosted a high profile charity jazz concert, auction and cocktail buffet to raise much needed funds for the country’s ongoing earthquake disaster relief effort.
Recently, the hotel’s renowned jazz lounge, The Living Room was the venue for “Jazz Jam for Haiti”, an evening of sparkling entertainment by gifted jazz artists including “The Amazing Graces” featuring Alice Day from Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, Cherryl Hayes from College of Music, Mahidol University, Denise Mininfield from the Conrad Bangkok, Denise Thimes from the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok and other talented artists such as The Cannon Brothers, The Bamboo Bar Band, Tony & Jerry, More than Friends Trio, Bob King and more.
Guests purchased tickets for the worthwhile fundraising event to help make a positive contribution to Haiti’s recovery. The capacity crowd enjoyed a memorable evening of outstanding live jazz, free flow drinks and a gourmet cocktail buffet. Money was also raised from a raffle with fabulous prizes and a grand auction that encouraged enthusiastic bidding for several high value lots.
“Jazz Jam for Haiti” raised USD 19,000 to contribute to the recovery and the rebuilding of Haiti. 100% of the funds will be donated to UNICEF and the Red Cross for ongoing emergency relief to the many communities affected by the earthquake effort in the disaster hit country.
