Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa is proud to announce the appointment of Mathias Olsson as the renowned resort’s new and vibrantly talented Executive Sous Chef.
With a career spanning sixteen years, Chef Mathias brings with him a wealth of international expertise to further enhance the culinary standards and service of the multi award winning Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa. His keen eye for detail coupled with his revered skill set and passion for the finest quality creations has seen him being snapped up by upscale restaurants and world renowned hotels across the globe, promising Marriott guests a host of rewarding dining experiences.
After a year’s stint at the Royal Swedish Navy, Chef Mathias graced the kitchens of some of the top fine dining restaurants in Denmark rubbing shoulders alongside Michelin star chefs. He went on to further work with many other award winning brasseries and upscale restaurants in and around native Europe and Asia culminating as an Executive Chef for the multi award winning Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Cambodia, before taking on his new assignment with the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa.
Swedish born Chef Mathias is married and speaks English and German in addition to his native tongue.
