Today, The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Board of Governors considered information proposed by its Presidential Nomination Committee to select the new SET President.
“The process to select a qualified person to serve as the next SET President started in January 2010 and every level of the process has been transparent. The results of the Presidential Nomination Committee’s work were proposed to the Nomination Committee before being presented to the Board today. The Board requested that the Committee continue to complete the process and report results to the Board,” revealed Presidential Nomination Committee Chairman Somjate Moosirilert.
Although a precise time for announcing the Board decision has not been decided upon, it will be in time for the new person to take office on June 1, 2010.
