Bangkok--1 Apr--The Sukhothai Bangkok
A celebration of the rich traditions of Czech music, drawing on a unique blend of gypsy rhythm with Eastern European melody and harmony.
Musicians Jonathon Glonek, violinist, and Mikhail Solovei, pianist, will present a program of rarely performed romantic works composed exclusively by the most famous Czech composers on Thursday, 29 April 2010 at Ballroom, The Sukhothai Bangkok.
Artists’ Narratives
Having been a guest lecturer in Violin Studies at the Chulalongkorn University of Thailand since 1998, Jonathon Glonek has become known to audiences both in Asia and Australia, where he first studied violin. Dr. Mikhail Solovei was awarded a PhD in 1985 from the Gorky and Moscow Conservatoriums. He then went on to do solo concerts and performances in Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Belgium, while lecturing at master classes in universities. Dr. Solovei has given recitals in prestigious music halls in Melbourne, Brisbane, Malaysia, Bangkok and the USA. He is now a lecturer in piano at Australia’s famous Monash University and Head of Piano of the Melba Conservatorium.
