KASIKORNBANK, in cooperation with HTC Thailand Co., Ltd. and Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd., now offers the K-Mobile Banking PLUS service on the HTC Windows Phone, the first service of its kind in Thailand. Customers can easily apply for this mobile banking service, which is compatible with all major mobile phone network providers. The Bank is also offering a chance to win a free HTC mobile phone every month.
Mr. Silawat Santivisat, First Senior Vice President of KASIKORNBANK, said KBank’s K-Mobile Banking service has grown rapidly over the past few years. To maintain its momentum, KBank has developed a more user-friendly mobile banking service in cooperation with HTC (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading smart phone producer, and Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd., by installing K-Mobile Banking PLUS, the first service of its kind in Thailand, on all models of the new HTC Windows Phone.
Once users of the HTC Windows Phone install the Thai language on their phone, they will see a K-Mobile Banking PLUS icon on the screen for convenient registration, as well as immediate application for the service at any KBank ATM. The K-Mobile Banking PLUS service employs GPRS/EDGE/3G technologies, that are compatible with all major mobile phone networks.
KBank and HTC have together introduced special promotions for customers buying the HTC HD2 and HTC Touch II T3333 using a KBank credit card. They will get a special discount of 2,400 to 5,600 Baht, with a zero-percent interest rate for as long as 10 months. In addition, customers doing the most financial transactions each month (funds transfer, bill payment, and mobile phone top-up) via K-Mobile Banking PLUS on an HTC mobile phone will be awarded one of the new HTC phones that will be launched at the end of April. The promotions continue from today until June 30.
Mr. Nattawat Woranopkul, country manager of HTC (Thailand) Ltd., said the HTC Windows Phone is the first mobile phone to come with the K-Mobile Banking PLUS software already installed, reflecting the company’s leadership in innovative developments for smart phones. The K-Mobile Banking PLUS service will become another popular application on mobile phones as all of its features are simple and useful with services including statement updates, funds transfer, bill payment, and mobile phone top-up that can meet users’ daily needs anytime and anywhere.
Mr. Polkrist Authachinda, Enterprise and Partners Group Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd., said the smart phone is a device with the flexibility to accommodate the lifestyles of all customer groups. With Microsoft’s outstanding Windows Mobile operating system on all models of the HTC Windows Phone, users will enjoy complete convenience and security in making financial transactions online.
