Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has recently announced the appointment of Ewen McDonald as the Managing Director, Thailand, with effect from March 01, 2010.
Ewen succeeds Paul Freestone, who is returning to the UK to take up another senior position within Rolls-Royce.
Ewen will manage and develop all aspects of business for Rolls-Royce in Thailand. Ewen has an honours degree in engineering and extensive experience in Rolls-Royce, having joined the Group in 1989. He has held a variety of engineering, commercial and senior positions within the Civil Aerospace sector of Rolls-Royce, most recently as Vice President Customer Business, responsible for Australasia, Japan and Korea.
Beyond the four key business sectors of civil aerospace, defense, marine and energy, Ewen has also committed to continue to develop the Rolls-Royce corporate responsibility strategy in support and development of Thai society, specifically, building on recently forged relationships with local universities.
