PURAC (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CSM, led by Mr. Arno van der Ven (center), Vice President Chemical and Pharma of Purac, and Pornpun Theinsathid (left) Country Manager — Sales and Marketing of PURAC (Thailand) Co., Ltd., recently held the press conference on the new Lactide plant in Thailand, with an investment of 2 billion baht. Lactide is converted to Poly Lactic Acid (PLA). This market is highly attractive as PLA is used for the production of bioplastics which contribute to a decrease in carbon dioxide (CO2). Besides bioplastics naturally degrade in the environment.
