Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (BJC) announces the establishment of BJC Glass Vietnam Limited. With an investment of US$ 53 million, the new glass container manufacturing facility will have an initial production capacity of 180 tons per day or around 175 million bottles per year. The facility is located in My Xuan Industrial Park, Vietnam, and expected to be completed and able to commence its operation by the 4th quarter of 2011.
In Thailand, BJC owns Thai Glass Industries Public Company (TGI), the largest glass packaging manufacturer in the country and one of the largest glass manufacturers in the region, operating 8 furnaces with capacity over 2,400 tons per days. BJC and Owens-Illinois (O-I), the world largest glass packaging manufacturer, have had a close technical cooperation for the last decade, and are contemplating to further upgrade this collaboration.
With its expansion into the Vietnamese market, BJC’s leading position in the industry in South East Asia could significantly be strengthened.

Having our Manufacturing footprint there will allow us to capture better these growing demands.
