Bangkok--19 Apr--Maxima Consultants With nothing but sand and sea, Hua Hin was the perfect venue entirely beyond the reach of troublesome. Recently the beach front of Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort filled with horses in shiny coats and neatly sand for the ‘Intercontinental — B.Grimm Beach Polo 2010’, Thailand’s first beach polo event to celebrate the Hua Hin 100th Anniversary. The beach polo event was co-organized by H.E.Suwat Liptapanlop, Advisory Chairman of Organizing Committee for Beach Polo 2010 and Mr.Harald Link, its Organizing Committee Chairman to raise funds for The Princess Mother’s Charities Fund of Thailand. The final chukka gave Royal Pahang Polo Club a victory over Thai Polo team at 6-4 scores. Beach Polo traditionally associated with royalty and high society where we saw HRH Crown Prince Abdullah ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang, Malaysia; Autumn Phillips, wife of Peter Phillips —the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, M.R.Tinasakti Saktidej Bhanubandh, Khunying Kasama Varavarn, Khunying Orasri Wangwiwatana; M.L.Poomchai Chumbala; Suvongse and Nipaporn Yodmani; Katevalee Napasab; Pasinee Limatibul; Nonthiwat Prabhananda; Nattapree Pichaironarong-Songkram; Tanat Bualert, Goanpot Asvinvichit; Napat Thavisin; Vachini Krairiksh; Wasantee Hoontrakool and more. Highlight of the event also included fashion show on horseback by Burberry, Escada, La Perla and La Martina; special horse racing; booths for selling goods. Especially women looked great when it came to riding horses. The horseback fashion show led by many honorable models including M.L.Laksasubha Kridakon, M.L.Sirinee Bhanubandh, M.L.Boonyanuch Kashemasanta Dulyachinda, Sikanya Saktidej Bhanubandh, Dr.Krittika Kongsompong, Chatbenja Nantabhiwat, Witt Kongtoranin, Nalita Issarachaiyos, Pornsri Prachuabmoh, Charlotte Weber, Ploypayap Srikarnchana, Voraphan Akrasanee and her daughters and many more. Then, the premier sporting competed between Thai Polo Club Team — Harald Link, Caroline Link and Roddy Matthews against Royal Pahang Team joined by Quzier Ambak, Tengku Hisham, and Syed Rahimi. Finally, the Royal Pahang Polo Club Team kicked into action at 6-4 victory.
