As you are aware, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited earlier announced on April 22, 2010 in its press release about its need to submit a letter to the Supreme Court Criminal Division for Persons Holding Political Positions seeking clarification on the approach to lawfully transfer to the government the funds held in previously frozen bank accounts of the Shinawatra family’s according to the attachment order of the Revenue Department.
In this connection, the Bank would like to announce that on April 27, 2010, the Bank received a letter from the Supreme Court under reference. SorYor. 100/1679, Re: Compliance with Court Ruling, providing clarification about legal issues raised to the Court earlier. With the final ruling of the Supreme Court, the Bank has arranged to transfer funds to the Ministry of Finance as ruling by the Supreme Court and at the request of the Comptroller General's Department, on April 28, 2010.
