Bangkok--6 May--Bangkok Bank
Bangkok Bank will feature the latest in design, technology and mobile services at its two innovative booths at Money Expo Bangkok 2010 from 6-9th May.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Ruchanee Nopmuang said the Bank will use eye-catching design and graphic displays to highlight how the latest technologies are shaping banking and payments, and how they are integrating into people’s increasingly interconnected lifestyles.
“Consumer and banking lifestyles in Thailand are merging, becoming more mobile and interconnected. Online communities, mobile internet usage and online shopping are all growing exponentially. Today’s financial providers understand this and becoming a seamless, always on, part of their customers’ lifestyles.
“At the same time, customers are demanding more from their banks, looking for true value with deeper and more streamlined relationships, rather than just products and services. Bangkok Bank’s theme of ‘Modern Life Always On’ is a simple, understandable proposition that captures this demand.
“Through multimedia technology and wireless internet, visitors to Bangkok Bank’s display areas will experience the very best of modern-day banking,” said Ms. Nopmuang.
“Technologies of today” that will be featured at Money Expo include a walk-through “Technotube” tunnel offering visitors vibrant interactive experiences such as touchscreen product and service demonstrations.
Visiters can also experience the Mobile iBanking QR code or 2 Dimension barcode. People with a smartphone camera and with QR reader software can scan the image of the QR Code causing the phone's browser to launch and open at the Mobile iBanking log-on page.
New product launches and special offers
As well as highlighting the latest in design and technology, Bangkok Bank will be unveiling a special home loan offer, and launching five new bancassurance endowment products, two new mutual funds investing in gold, and its ATM-enrollment service for internet and mobile phone banking.
Home loan borrowers who also choose the bank’s Home1st insurance option will pay just 0.9% interest for the first nine month of their home loan. Bangkok Bank is also offering a 0.25% annual interest rate discount for customers buying Home1st credit protection insurance with full coverage for at least 10 years of the mortgage period. Customers who are ready to apply for a home loan may also be able to get an approval on the spot.
The new bancassurance products from the Gain 1st brand stable offer a variety of premium payment terms (from 2-10 years) and cash-back options. Gain1st 245 Plus, which has been tipped to attract most attention, returns cash of 2%, 4% and 5% for each of five successive years, as well as providing coverage for 17 illnesses.
Gold funds will make their debut at the event — one fund will be open ended and daily traded, whilst the other is a longer-term Retirement Mutual Fund option. Both invest in an international gold investment trust.
For coffee lovers, Bangkok Bank has partnered with Starbucks for the event, offering free Starbucks coffee cards when customers sign up or enroll for certain products or services — customers can also use their PayWave credit cards when buying coffee.
Bangkok Bank is also offering deposit-account opening services at the event and will have staff on hand able to instantly issue Be1st debit cards. Investment advisors, including partners BBLAM and Bualuang Securities, and SME specialists will also be available in the Plaza zone.
