The Phuket International Academy Day School (PIADS) — being positioned as one of Thailand's most prestigious international schools — is waiving entrance fees for students signing up for the 2010-2011 academic year commencing in August.
PIADS is implementing the International Baccalaureate curriculum with a strong team of highly qualified and experienced teachers to provide an exceptional international education
PIADS Executive Chairman, Lister Hannah, said it was appropriate the school, as a new educational facility, offered financial encouragement for parents of new students, hence entrance fees not being charged for the next academic year. The school is also open at all times for parents who want to view the facilities.
Along with the fee waiver, the PIADS is also offering full and partial scholarships to students in the following areas: academic excellence, outstanding ability in visual or performing arts, and proven talent in swimming or martial arts.
These scholarships are open to students going into Grade 6 up to and including Grade 9.
The Phuket International Academy is a USD45 million new facility on 135 rai of land in the north-eastern part of Phuket island, incorporating three integrated centres: PIADS, PIA Mind Centre and the PIA Sports and Leisure Club.
