The 3rd Salsa Hacha Annual Dance showcase 2010 features the latest choreographies performed by Salsa Hacha instructors and students. Enjoy a fun filled night with 2 hours of free Salsa Workshops, 3 hours of Social Dance with DJ Pom La Rueda & DJ Maya and have fun with Social Dance Party. The event will be organized on Friday, May 21st, at Xperience Thonglor Soi 8.
The program details are as follows:
7.00 pm Doors open
7.30 pm Intermediate Salsa Workshop
8.15 pm Bachata Beginner Salsa Workshop
9.15 pm Performances and Stage Activities
10.15 pm -1 am Social Dance Party
The highlights include dance recitals from international student performers and performances by Salsa Hacha instructors. Last year’s showcase attracted over 350 participants. It is expected that more attendants will join the event this year!
The objectives of this event are to present the latest dance works, and to introduce Salsa dance to new group of people. Salsa, meaning sauce in Spanish, is a partner dance, originated in Cuba and Puerto Rico, with a distillation of Latin and Afro-Caribbean movement. It was a dance to Latino music, which later has been mixed with flavors of jazz, pop, rock and hip hop. That’s why salsa dance is popular every corner of the world. Salsa is also included in TV programs such as" So you think you can dance" or “American Idol". Additionally, Salsa dance is one form of enjoyable workouts. Dancers can enjoy music and steps at the same time. Through dancing, you can also learn more about other cultures and mingle with international dance friends.
For those who have never tried dancing Salsa before, please do not be shy or reluctant. Come and join our showcase. Our Salsa Hacha instructors will be there to offer you free lessons and guide steps to all participants.
