Teera-Mongkol Industry PCL (TMI) to list and trade in Thai alternative market

Bangkok--13 May--SET Teera-Mongkol Industry PCL will list its securities and begin trading on Thailand’s Market for Alternative Investment (mai) on May 14, using “TMI” as its trading symbol. TMI will be the first company to list in mai this year, raising THB 70.40 million (USD 2.18 million), the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Group Head, Issuer & Listing Department and mai President Chanitr Charnchainarong reported. TMI designs, produces and trades lighting equipments, related control devices, light bulbs and lanterns for domestic and foreign clients under the registered trademarks GATA, CROSS, and ALLITE. With a strong research and development team, TMI continuously introduces new products to the market. All its products are certified to meet local and international standards (according to TMI's prospectus). In 2009, TMI was awarded a Bai Po Business Award by Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University and The Siam Commercial Bank PCL, for its achievements in Adaptability to Changes and Quality. TMI has a total paid-up capital of THB 80 million (USD 2.48 million), consisting of 240 million existing common shares and 80 million shares from its capital increase, with a par value of THB 0.25 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on April 28-30, the company raised THB 70.40 million (USD 2.18 million), by offering 80 million shares at THB 0.88 per share. The funds raised will be used for ballast, light bulb, and switch product development and as working capital. Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. was its financial advisor, while Finansia Syrus Securities PCL was its underwriter. TMI's dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of net profit after corporate tax and legal reserves. TMI's P/E ratio at its IPO price was at 11.89 times — calculated using 2009 12-month net profit of THB 23.63 million (USD 0.73 million) or a net profit per share at THB 0.074, based on the total of 320 million shares after the IPO (according to TMI's prospectus). The company's major shareholders are the Prasitratanaporn Group, holding 75%; Mr. Suraphan Pattanapitoon, with 1.03%, and Mr. Prasit Lertpanyapornchai, holding 0.94% of total shares after the IPO.
