Pok-Piyatida Woramusik, the aviance Slym Charity Turn Fat to Food project ambassador said ‘The Border Patrol Police School in Sakaew province where I visited, is government run and has around 50 students. Most students suffer from severe and moderate underweight and stunting due to the lack of nutrition. Not only learning institution, school also works to help all students to lead healthy and productive lives as least giving students the chance to lift themselves out of hunger. Even during school-closing, the students like to go to school in order to meet friends and have meals at school as there isn’t any food or rice at home. The rice consumption was huge in each semester and takes around 500 kilograms. Sometimes students feed themselves with whatever food that they can find around their living area such as Thai vegetables, fruits, the leaves of many trees including other sources of protein as Lizard. Therefore, all participants in the charity program will be able to help these students on providing more rice.’
