Bangkok--3 Jun--e-Cop
The largest managed security service provider in Asia, e-Cop, said that its global network of Security Operation Centers (SOCs) monitored over 2.5 billion events in 2009. This record is 24 times increase over the past 8 years. Nobody else in the region is handling this much volume of security events as e-Cop does with its wide customer base.
e-Cop, which offers services to identify and deal with threats and risks related to information security management, announced this to the press during its 10th year anniversary in Singapore recently. In Thailand, Mr. Noppakoon Khamklin, e-Cop (Thailand) General Manager, pointed out that e-Cop has been offering the services that enable customers to secure their networks against the attackers for 10 years and with our operations in various countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and India, we are now handling the highest security log volume and this will continue to grow rapidly as more businesses still resolve the security issues.
e-Cop now has over 1,000 security sensors in Asia and more than 10 SOCs in Asia and Middle-East. Its vision is to have the largest network of such sensors in the world and it plans to boost turnover 300 percent over 5 years by grabbing a bigger share of the US$4 Billion Managed Security Services (MSS) market in the Asia-Pacific region.
