True App Center in collaboration with NECTEC and Triple I launched the “Traffy” application to report real-time traffic conditions on Bangkok’s main roads through the iPhone. This iPhone application helps drivers plan their routes ahead of time in order to avoid traffic congestion through real-time traffic monitoring that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Users can choose to view real-time traffic conditions in different formats including:
- 40 Smart Traffic Boards
- Motion Pictures from CCTV — traffic tracking from more than 100 cameras on Bangkok’s main roads and intersections
- Traffic reports using 3D maps, developed by local engineers. This feature enables users to view Bangkok’s main roads from all directions. Or users can choose to view a 2D map via Google Maps
- iShare is the newest feature designed to enable users to share information, traffic conditions, or other situations on the roads via text or pictures. iShare will be the first community that allows users to share traffic information through mobile phones.
