General Motors Thailand recently celebrated World Environment Day at its automotive assembly plant in Rayong province with the purpose of encouraging their people with the sense of environmental conservation. The event was filled with several earth-lover activities, such as executive’s tree planting,The recycled products competition and Mr and Miss Environment 2010 contest, invited all staff levels to participate in these competitions on the theme “Go Green GM”, at photo, Mr Arthit Tangwattanarat (right) and Ms Panthip Kutiwanakarn (left), two winners from the contest who have a genuine love and passion for environmental conservation.
The Mr and Miss Environment contest was organized by GM’s Green Council with the intention of building up and encouraging all GM staff to aware on environmental conservation and optimal use of resources to the organization. An important mission of these two ambassadors are, to promote the green concept among co-workers, and participate in all GM environmental activities for a year. The two winners were awarded with round-trip ticket, free accommodation and travelling package to attend Shanghai World Expo 2010, China
