Acer Computer Co., Ltd., No. 1 vendor in Thailand’s computer market, has stepped up its enterprise business by offering a comprehensive range of servers and storage products, along with integrated solutions and services for corporate segment, aiming to become the market leader this year. An Enterprise Simulation Center has been set up to allow customers to simulate their scenarios before making a purchase decision.
Mr. Alan Chiang, General Manager, Acer Computer Co., Ltd., said for this year Acer aims to capture more market share in enterprise segment. During the second quarter, Enterprise Solution Group (ESG) will offer servers and storage products on every platform, every aspect and every product line, along with comprehensive solutions and services. The company targets a wide range of customers, from small office/home office (SOHO) to high-performance computing users such as government, education, industry, hospitals, etc.
“Today we are ready in all aspects including technology, hardware, software, solutions and partners. We have studied enterprise user behaviors and requirements. According to analysis from IDC and Gartner, server and storage markets are growing continuously, so we plan to aggressively tap enterprise market through our partners and resellers as well as Acer Professional Partners (APPs). We offers more than 30 models of server and storage to local market. Our main strategy for this year is to offer solutions that are easy to install and use, based on advanced technology. We have also set a new standard for server market by providing built-to-order solutions to customers with a five-day delivery schedule.”
“For this year we are offering four types of servers — Tower, Rack, Gemini, and Blade — designed for every segment. As for storage we offer complete range that cover all market segment. The entry level storage for small business will be under Acer brand while the mid range storage will still be under partnership collaboration. For example, we will work with Hitachi to deliver mid range under the brand of Acer - Hitachi Data Systems. Meanwhile, for NAS products, we will focus on Windows Storage System. Together with full range products offering, Acer also bundle our service which include three-year warranty, one-stop service & solution approach,” Alan Chiang concluded.
The Acer Enterprise Simulation Center is located at CTI Building, 16th Floor, allowing customers and interested persons to experience Acer technology and solutions, along with consulting and deployment services delivered by professionals. The company has also set up SMB Corners for SMB customers who want to access Acer products and make a purchase decision more quickly. These SMB Corners can be found at Pantip Plaza, Zeer Rangsit, and Central Bangna. At the same time, Acer will organize a roadshow in Bangkok and big cities nationwide, including Chiangmai, Hadyai, Khonkaen, Pitsanulok, and Phuket.
