Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A+' rating to Othello, Wash.'s limited-tax general obligation bonds, series 2010. The outlook is stable.
"The rating reflects our view of the city's stable economic base concentrated in food processing and production, as well as its very strong financial position," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Jen Hansen.
We understand bond proceeds will be used to pay the costs of certain street improvements.
With a population of 6,595, Othello is located 60 miles north of the tri-cities area in eastern Washington.
