Thai Honda Receives Manufacturing Safety Award From The Ministry Of Labour, A Record 15 Consecutive Years

Bangkok--9 Jul--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Thai Honda Manufacturing Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Prakit Chunhacha, Director was awarded the Best Manufacturer Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Working Conditions from Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Labour, at the 24th National Safety Week 2010 event at BITEC Bangna. This event marks the 15th consecutive time that Thai Honda has received this award. Thai Honda Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of Honda motorcycles and power products, is the first and only manufacturer who has received the Best Manufacturer Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Working Conditions 15 consecutive times. In 2009, its injury frequency rate declined significantly and stood at just 0.88 people / million hours and it is the first manufacturer in Thailand to operate under the ILO Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems, ILO-OSH 2001. As a result of its outstanding safety and occupational health policies and activities the company has had an amazing 42 million accident-free working hours.
