Sittipol Group by Elf lubricant has introduced ELF SMART SPORT RACING TEAM. The team comprises of 2 national sport champions: Saen Choeysak, the speed king of motor sport, and Paradorn Srichaphan, the former world No.9 tennis player. They will jointly race on motorcycle saddles.
Mr.Pipob Yingpattana, Elf lubricant product manager of The Sittipol 1919 Co., Ltd. — subordinate to SIttipol Group, producer and distributor of leading-class car and motorcycle parts of Thailand, revealed during the ELF SMART SPORT RACING TEAM debut press conference that the official racing team establishment aims to develop Thai motor sport and riders to international level. It also confirms capability of Elf lubricant, which is developed through technology of speed.
“The Sittipol 1919 Co., Ltd. and Total Oil (Thailand) Co., Ltd. are official sponsors of ELF SMART SPORT RACING TEAM. The team will take races in 7 circuits throughout 2010. We believe that ELF SMART SPORT RACING TEAM has enough potential to become a champion.” Mr.Pipob said.
Mr.Prateep Borisutsuntorn, Team Manager, said that “As Smart Sport Co., Ltd. is appointed to take care and manage the ELF SMART SPORT RACING TEAM, we believe in the team’s capability. Our team contains super riders like Saen Choeysak and Paradorn Srichapan, who are icons of racing and tennis sports respectively. The main support from Sittipol Group, leader of Thai car and motorcycle part market, with world famous Elf lubricant is believed to help the team reach for success.”
Motorcycle that the team will use for racing is 2009 HONDA CBR 1000RR with 999cc engine, providing up to 178 horsepower at 12,500 round per minutes, 112.0 NW torque 8500/minute. Number of the two motorcycles are 78 and 79.
Mr.Prateep continued that the essence of team buildup and management is rule and duty, which are characteristic of both super riders. Therefore, team management will effectively reach success.
The next race program is PRO SERIES THAILAND CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 during July 24-25, 2010 at Peera Circuit, Phattaya, Chonburi.
