Bangkok--20 Jul--PR & Associates Continental has officially released the first batch of Piezo injectors to customers in India and Europe. This milestone achievement was an important step for full production capacity in 2011. Continental Automotive (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has officially released the first batch of Piezo common rail injectors produced at its Powertrain plant in Amata City, Rayong, to customers in India and Europe. “This milestone achievement was an important step for Continental’s Powertrain plant to operate machines at full capacity, producing up to 2.5 Mio injectors and approximately 500 K high pressure pumps in 2011.“said Mr. Rainer Doerrheide, Vice President and General Manager of Continental Automotive (Thailand) Co. Ltd ( first on the right) It has been twelve months since the celebration of grand opening ceremony in June 2009. Continental’s plant in Amata City currently produces the Piezo injector and high pressure pump of advanced cutting-edge technology for the diesel common rail systems. With the combination of the modular engine management platform EMS 2 and highly efficient pump, the Piezo injector endure an optimized combustion and successfully reduce fuel consumption and C02 emissions. These advanced technologies are compatible with all regulatory demands including the Euro V standards and in the near future also the Euro VI.
